Christopher Plaas, a professional opera singer and voice teacher at ETSU, is a life-long resident of Johnson City, TN. He and his wife, Devin, live in the Tree Streets with their three children and two dogs. Christopher became passionate about real estate after he and Devin bought their first home in 2015. As a young couple, fresh out of grad school, neither of them thought it was a realistic dream at that time. However, thanks to the help and guidance of their Realtor, they were able to make that dream a reality. They have now sold that home, and bought another that suits their growing family. Christopher is now very excited to be able to guide other buyers, young and old, through that process with the same care and attention that helped him and his wife buy their first home.

There are so many Realtors® available; how do you choose? In addition to experience
and their work experience, I would like to know their values. Do they work hard? Are they
honest and responsible? Are they responsive, resourceful, and helpful? Will they have enough
time to give you the attention you deserve? If you choose me as your agent, I promise to:
● listen carefully to you
● do everything I can to help you find the right property
● connect you with the resources and professionals to make that property yours
● promptly return your phone calls or emails
● be patient
● do my very best.
It gives me great pleasure to help people and make a difference in their lives. That is
why I chose to become a Realtor®. It is also why I created Ivil’s Readers. Ivil’s Readers is a
volunteer program in Gate City, VA that helps people who struggle to read. The ability to read
can profoundly change people’s lives. Likewise, choosing the right home and community to call
home can also profoundly change people’s lives.
Before becoming a Realtor®, I worked as a commercial insurance agent for about 20
years. I helped business owners select the right insurance coverage to protect their business
and financial resources. I hold a degree in Business Administration from King University in
Bristol, TN. Additional work for my community includes serving on the Gate City, VA Sanitation
Board, the Adverse Zoning Board, and the Gate City Chamber of Commerce Board.
Let’s partner together. I would love to help you navigate this important journey whether
you are interested in Southwest Virginia or East Tennessee. Please give me a call or text at
(423) 483-1812, or call our office at (423) 530-7077.
